Prior to joining TIR, Valentina was a Harvest Planning and Operations Analyst with American Forest Management, where she modeled teak growth dynamics for Central American plantations, contributed and coordinated inventory and merchandising studies behind the firm’s growth-and-yield models and taper equations, and prepared its monthly and quarterly financial reports. As an intern with Aurora Sustainable Lands, she calculated carbon stocking and growth rates using the Forest Vegetation Simulator, built financial models to analyze return on investment, and translated the company’s Excel models into R. Earlier in her career, she analyzed carbon-credit markets and ESG frameworks at Amaggi, in Brazil, and Indigo Ag. Valentina earned an MS in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida and a BS in Biology and Environmental Policy and Analysis from Boston University. She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
